They seemed really cool and interesting to play, and a step back from my usual mech-heavy eldar playstyle (plus they don&#8217;t come with the same stigma of &#8220;Broken Eldar!&#8221; in our meta).<\/p>\n<p>So I decided to playtest a few games, and wasn&#8217;t disappointed.<\/p>\n<p>Then I started planning out my Corsair conversions.<\/p>\n<p>Then I died a little inside.<\/p>\n<p>I gathered up some bits from my old eldar and some friends, and I ended up with this as my Proof of Concept:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/pegasus-gulf.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/17148917_10154426941871527_471617826_o.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-384 \" src=\"http:\/\/pegasus-gulf.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/17148917_10154426941871527_471617826_o-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"224\" height=\"299\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pegasus-gulf.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/17148917_10154426941871527_471617826_o-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/pegasus-gulf.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/17148917_10154426941871527_471617826_o-768x1024.jpg 768w, https:\/\/pegasus-gulf.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/17148917_10154426941871527_471617826_o.jpg 852w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 224px) 100vw, 224px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>For those of you counting at home, you&#8217;ve now realized why I died a little inside. That conversion takes bits from no less than 3 kits, and doesn&#8217;t even have the forgeworld corsair conversion bits (yet).<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Dark Eldar Wych legs<\/li>\n<li>Eldar guardian Torsos<\/li>\n<li>Dark Eldar Warrior arms.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>And that is without even including\u00a0the Corsair Conversion bits for the backpack and lasblaster.\u00a0I&#8217;ll use Scourge legs and the corsair jetpack vanes for any jetpack-equipped corsairs.<\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s well over 150$ for one squad.<\/p>\n<p>But I&#8217;ve been saving for a while, and the FLGS manager has been a hero and said he&#8217;d give a conversion project discount to help out, so the other day I came home with this<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/pegasus-gulf.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/2017-03-23-18.06.56.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-460 size-large\" src=\"http:\/\/pegasus-gulf.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/2017-03-23-18.06.56-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pegasus-gulf.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/2017-03-23-18.06.56-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/pegasus-gulf.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/2017-03-23-18.06.56-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/pegasus-gulf.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/2017-03-23-18.06.56-768x576.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>(yeah, there&#8217;s some admech stuff in there &#8211; that&#8217;s a post for another time)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;ve long been interested in the Corsair army list from Forgeworld&#8217;s Imperial Armor 11.
